Luxury Code undertook the refurbishment and restoration of the Pearl Al Wakra building to meet the standards of a four-star hotel, while preserving its architectural character inspired by Qatari heritage. The project followed a design vision focused on reviving traditional elements and integrating them with contemporary techniques and finishes, achieving a balance between authenticity and modern hospitality requirements. Works included reconfiguring the stone façades, enhancing spatial flow, and improving environmental performance through carefully planned lighting and ventilation solutions, creating a refined hospitality environment that meets guest expectations while reflecting the local identity.

From the exterior, the design reveals a harmonious interplay between Arabic arches and light stone frames inspired by the tones of Qatari sands. A carefully planned lighting system highlights architectural details at night. The composition extends to a well-organized courtyard, shaded parking spaces, and the Qatari flag prominently displayed at the main entrance.

Inside, the main lobby welcomes guests into a spacious setting filled with natural light streaming through a tall glass façade. Carved walls and large wooden doors evoke a sense of strength and authenticity. At the center, a light marble reception counter anchors the space, while exposed wooden beams in the ceiling reflect the spirit of traditional Qatari architecture. The ambiance is completed with comfortable seating areas, natural-material furnishings, and coordinated rugs that enhance the warmth of the interior.

The interior corridors unfold beneath elegant architectural arches, softly lit with wall sconces, and feature stone flooring that harmonizes with wall compositions. The secondary entrance adopts a vaulted ceiling accented with linear lighting, creating a warm and welcoming effect.

The side lobby features light stone flooring intersected with organically patterned pathways, and a flowing ceiling with ambient lighting that accentuates the warmth of sandy-toned walls. Arched wall niches house illuminated decorative elements, while a wooden console paired with organic-shaped mirrors adds a balanced, refined touch.

The pool and shower area is designed with fluid lines that mimic the movement of water, featuring semi-circular columns and windows dressed in light beige curtains. Reflections dance across the water’s surface, creating a wave-like visual effect, while a mosaic-clad jacuzzi completes the atmosphere with an exceptional touch of luxury.

The guest suites serve as a private sanctuary, where natural wood in the ceilings blends seamlessly with beige-toned furniture and integrated shelving. Lighting fixtures inspired by traditional Qatari palm-weave casting unique shadow patterns, while an illuminated headboard with an iconic Arabic design reinforces the property’s identity and infuses the room with warmth and sophistication.
